Jodi is delighted to be part of the FHM Staff as Interventionist for reading and mathematics. She offers extra support to students in these subject areas.
Jodis teaching experience spans the last 20 years, and ranges from elementary school to college. She has a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, and worked for an Earthquake Engineering company before entering the world of teaching and education. Her first teaching job was in the Denver area as a high school mathematics teacher. Shes also worked as a consultant for McREL, a curriculum coordinator for Denver Public Schools, an instructional coach, and an online teacher. She has a MA from the University of Colorado in Information and Learning Technologies, and is excited to be working in a Montessori school, which fits her beliefs about teaching and learning.
Her personal life is busy with her two children. Her hobbies tend to revolve around family time, searching for missing Lego pieces, and the great outdoors -- camping, hiking, riding bikes, swimming, picnics in the summer, and snow activities in the winter.
One of the things Jodi loves about teaching is listening to, and learning with children.
